Definitions of lodging classes and categories in Neuquén

Tourist Lodging or Hostel

Tourist lodging and Hostel means the same. The owner of the business is the one who decides how to name it. This type of business offers a collective lodging service, in pavilions with public bathrooms (differentiated by sex) or in rooms with 1 to 6 beds with a private bathroom.

Dormis

The “Dormi” is a kind of studio flat with independent access. It functions as a complement to other kinds of lodging, and it offers a cleaning service. The rooms have private bathrooms, a bedroom – living room – dining room, and they may have a kitchen or not. The quality of facilities and services offered depends on the quality of the main lodging establishment.

Apart-Hotel

Apart Hotels are lodgings that offer a cleaning lady service. This kind of lodging contains rooms for one to various people.

Motels

Motels are like hotels and inns in the sense they lend a lodging service in rooms, but unlike these first two, their rooms have independent access.

Lodges

Lodges are like hotels. The only difference is that they have fewer beds to offer. Some of the rooms include private bathrooms, and some need to share one.

A.T.L.

A.T.L.‘s are alternative tourist lodgings. They tend to be used when the hotel capacity of a town is complete. They are of two types:

  • Bed and Breakfast: lodging located in a communal building with independent access to each room. In this modality breakfast is obligatory.
  • Tourist lodging: lodging offered in rooms with independent access.

Organized camping sites

Organized camping sites offer lodging services in camping areas with the necessary facilities. This camping modality offers more facilities and services than wild camping sites. Facilities and services offered vary depending on the camping site.

Wild camping sites

Wild camping sites are those which offer minimum services that allow keeping the area clean and safe from environmental impacts. Facilities and services offered vary depending on the camping site.
